Broadway Colours expansion plans have come on a pace since the installation of a brand new grinder and extruder in their grinding facility. Now the Masterbatch factory is receiving a boost with provisions for the installation of a further twin-screw extrusion line and an additional larger mixing unit.
The Suffolk-based company specialise in producing custom colour masterbatch and high quality rotational moulding powders from their 90,000ft2 facility. Their existing equipment allows the fast turnaround of both large and small lot orders. With the new equipment on board they will be able to produce their larger orders more efficiently, without compromising their market leading quality and lead times.
Matthew Hennessey – Business Development Manager commented, “It’s great to see how much the company has grown in the past couple of years – increasing the size & capacity of the factory twice in five years just goes to show how far we have come. We pride ourselves on our speed and high quality. These terms are usually mutually exclusive, but with the right equipment and full support from our fantastic production team – anything is possible.”
The investment does not stop there – with nearly 40,000 colours in their archive, Broadway have radically re-vamped their indexing system to include a second brand new spectrophotometer. This extra machine also enhances their QC procedures, which are certified to ISO9001. Alongside the Accelerated Weather station and Xenon Arc tester, their state-of-the-art laboratory has the arsenal required to keep up with the increased demand from the factory.
