Sales Director Nick Barber and staff from the Broadway Colours Sales Team

We’re showcasing our extensive product range at the Interplas trade show. This is the first time the business has attended a show since the pandemic.

We’re exhibiting on Stand B12 at Interplas from 28-30 September 2021. Interplas, the UK’s leading plastics industry event, is taking place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. Speaking before the event, Broadway Colours’ Sales Manager Chris Bird was excited to exhibit and experience the buzz of a trade event once again. He said:

Our team has been looking forward to Interplas for what feels like an age. I’m sure we’re not alone – the excitement to see what’s new on the market is shared across our industry.

We love to speak with new and existing customers in person and that’s what excites us the most. The pandemic posed challenges for us all, but we’ve continued to work hard behind the scenes. We’re looking forward to sharing everything we’ve been working on since we last exhibited.

Ongoing site developments include an increase in production capacity, our new lab and reconfigured colour suite. Plus, new product offerings will be showcased at Interplas 2021, including new additives, premium packaging effects, and sustainable colouring options. We look forward to welcoming you to our stand this year.’’

We’re exhibiting some examples from our impressive range of special effects for plastics, including our frosted effect for PET, which customers have said is the best available. Other examples include an exclusive glimpse at some new effects recently developed by Dr. Chandres Surti and his team. These are sure to pique the interest of those looking to enhance the aesthetics of their plastic packaging designs.

Broadway Colours are also demonstrating the impact that increasing levels of PCR have on coloured plastic. A series of moulded bottles with incremental volumes of PCR material enables prospective customers to gain a clear understanding of the challenges that colourists face when using PCR resins. Broadway’s colour suite allows customers an insight into the colouring process – this is especially useful when working with PCR material. They recently hosted Rehook – a customer seeking visual standout for their innovative product range. Business Development Manager Jed Saunders explained:

Rehook is the first customer I’ve hosted on-site since the pandemic. We love to support customers developing new lines, and we’re on hand to offer expert advice long after our materials have been supplied. Rehook is an exciting project to be involved in. Our colour suite allowed us to showcase our products and expertise.

By exhibiting some of the displays from our showroom, we hope to give attendees at Interplas a sense of what it’s like to visit us in Suffolk. Having the facility to show customers matches as they’re made allows for a much swifter process for brands seeking to approve a range of colours. It’s no coincidence that we’re winning an increasing volume of specified work.”

As we approach our 25th anniversary, we’ll also offer a teaser to some exciting plans regarding our name, visual identity and website. These are just some of many ongoing developments the business is embarking on to improve operational capability and customer experience.

Whether a customer is seeking a fast, accurate colour match, performance additive, special effect or PCR compound – Broadway Colours’ high-quality materials and reliable service will provide a solution.
