Broadway Colours Acquire New Site

Broadway Colours have gone from strength to strength since we moved premises in 2011, and we enjoyed a record breaking year in 2013. We have seen substantial growth, which has pushed our premises to such extremes that we have taken the decision to move again.

In the short time we have been at Broadway Drive in Halesworth, we have installed more state of the art machinery and employed more staff to maintain our high standards and unrivalled customer service, whilst meeting increased demand. We were also able to launch our Rotational Moulding Powders, as the space at these premises allowed us to install a brand new polymer grinding facility. Our current site is a total of around 25,000 square feet, wheras the new facility will be 90,000 square feet. This increase in factory space will allow us to combine both our masterbatch and grinding facilities under one roof.

Nick Barber our Operations Director said, “We have reached another milestone in the company’s history. By combining our facilities under one roof we are able to maintain our lean manufacturing policy, while delivering even more high quality products and services. This is an exciting step for Broadway Colours as we will be able to develop and customise this new site so that it is perfectly suited to offering high quality Masterbatch and Rotational Moulding Powders with increased capacity levels that allow for many years of future growth.”

The new site promises to expand on the already extensive colour matching facilities, by including a fully tailored, state of the art colour matching suite. Here customers will be able to relax or continue with any essential work while we carry out their requests. There will be extra equipment in the new larger laboratory, allowing our market leading colour matching service to become even more efficient. Not to mention a larger, more productive factory floor with more machine space and storage facilities. It goes without saying that the office will be larger, yet more streamlined allowing procedures and quality management to be carried out even more effectively.

The new Factory will still be located in Halesworth, a short drive from our current site, with work due to be completed this summer. We aim to carry out the re-location with as little down-time as possible for minimum disruption to our lead times. We will keep all of our customers informed in stages leading up to the move, so that everybody knows what is happening.
